LEMON RICE



Today i made lemon rice ..and i thought to share it with you all... hope you all enjoy cooking...



Ingredients
  • rice -1cup (use 1 cup rice and 2 cup water to cook the rice .. you can add little salt and oil also while cooking rice you can use any rice preferably ponni raw rice or sona massoori )
  • onion-5 spoon
  • greenchilly chopped -2
  • red chilly-2
  • curry leaves
  • bunch of cilantro (corriander leaves)
  • hing (Asofoetida) apinch
  • channa dal
  • urad dal
  • mustard
  • ghee or oil
  • ginger chopped or paste -1 spoon
  •  juice of 1 lemon 
  • cashew nut -1/4 of a cup.
Preparation method


pre-cook the rice.

Heat a pan..add little ghee and fry peanut and cashewnut..keep it aside.

In the same pan add little ghee and mustard and curry leafs. then add channa dal and urad dal.soat for 2 min.

add red chilly and ginger paste.

saute onion and greenchilly...till onion becomes trasperant.

add turmeric powder.

add hing powder and add lemon juice and salt .then add cook rice and mix well .rice will have a nice yellow color.

add fried nuts and mix.

add corriander leaves and mix well.
tasty lemon rice is ready...
